Production house Uwais Pictures, founded by international action star Iko Uwais, has unveiled its latest action film titled “Ikatan Darah” (Blood Ties), showcasing intense martial-arts sequences directed by Sidharta Tata.
The official trailer and poster for the film were launched during a press conference on Wednesday (March 11) at Studio 4, XXI Plaza Senayan, South Jakarta. The film is scheduled to premiere in Indonesian cinemas on April 30, 2026.
A Director Known for Genre Films
Over the past decade, Sidharta Tata has established himself as one of Indonesia’s most talented genre filmmakers. Known for his ability to craft compelling stories across horror and action genres, Tata brings his signature style to Ikatan Darah, blending intense combat choreography with suspenseful storytelling.
The official trailer highlights epic action sequences led by a female protagonist named Mega, portrayed by rising actress Livi Ciananta. In the role, Ciananta showcases her martial-arts skills, particularly pencak silat, delivering powerful and dynamic fight scenes.
Tata also introduces darker elements in the film, including gore and suspense, as Mega confronts a ruthless loan-shark network that has ensnared her brother Bilal, played by Derby Romero.
Adding to the tension, the story features a menacing villain led by Teuku Rifnu Wikana, whose performance heightens the intensity of the film’s action-packed narrative.
Synopsis
Mega (Livi Ciananta), a former pencak silat athlete now working as a waitress, must rescue her older brother Bilal (Derby Romero), who has become the target of ruthless gangsters after being trapped in debt and involved in an accidental killing.
The siblings’ desperate escape leads them into a village where every exit has been sealed by thugs working for the feared gangster boss Primbon (Teuku Rifnu Wikana). With their lives at stake, Mega and Bilal must fight together to survive and break free from the relentless pursuit of the gang.
